Grades, chemical analyses, size fractions, packing descriptions and delivery terms shown on this website are indicative and typical of the market. They do not form part of any contract. The specification that applies to a shipment is the specification agreed in the relevant sales contract and evidenced by the applicable certificate of analysis.

3. Privacy statement
This statement explains how Geomet International B.V. handles personal data collected through this website, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementing act (UAVG).
3.1 Controller

3.2 What we collect
- Enquiry details. When you send an enquiry — through the enquiry form or by email — we receive your name, company, email address, country and whatever commercial details you choose to include (product, grade, quantity, destination, message).
- Correspondence. Emails and other messages exchanged with us, together with any documents attached.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider may record standard server log data, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, for security and for the operation of the site.
The enquiry form on this website does not transmit anything by itself: it prepares a message that you send from your own email application. We only receive what you actually send us.
3.3 Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To perform and administer a contract of sale or purchase, including shipping and documentation — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To maintain our business relationship, keep records of trade correspondence and protect the security of our systems — our legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, customs and sanctions or export-control screening — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.
3.4 Who receives it
Personal data may be shared with service providers acting on our instructions (email and IT hosting, accountants, inspection companies, freight forwarders and banks) and with public authorities where the law requires it. Where a recipient is outside the European Economic Area, transfers are made on the basis of an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
3.5 How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are kept for up to two years. Data relating to concluded contracts is kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and thereafter for the statutory retention periods under Dutch law, which are seven years for accounting records and up to ten years for certain documents.
3.6 Your rights
You may ask us for access to your personal data, and for its rectification or erasure; you may ask us to restrict processing or to provide your data in a portable form; and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Write to info@geomet-international.com and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
3.7 Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure; please do not send confidential commercial documents by unencrypted email if you would rather not.
5. Applicable law and disputes
This legal notice and any dispute arising from the use of this website are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise. Sales and purchase contracts concluded by Geomet International B.V. are governed by the terms agreed in those contracts.
